Project Engineer

Job Overview

Universal EV LLC has openings for the position of Project Engineer which requires a U.S. Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, Project Engineering, or a related field, with at least three months of experience as a project manager in developing, implementing, and evaluating systems and procedures to support the new product development process and product mapping toward the completion of the project, determining testing criteria based on the functionality of the product for internal testing, and preparing go-to-market strategies for the product launch.

Duties

• Developing project plans including project definition, scope, resources, and schedule using Microsoft Project, evaluating project risks, and developing risk mitigation plans.
• Working with manufacturers to coordinate all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods and operation of product design.
• Specifying system components and directing modification of product to ensure compliance with engineering design, performance specifications, and UL standards.
• Working with operations manager to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
• Investigating product failures to diagnose faulty operation and recommending remedial actions.
• Estimating costs for engineering, construction, and installation of the product.
• Supervising installation, operation, and maintenance to ensure product is installed and functioning according to specifications.
